Most people believe their first step towards a healthy lifestyle has to start in a gym.

They picture sweaty gym bros doing heavy squats, deadlifts, and bench presses.

You’ve never been in a weight room before, you don’t know how to use any of the equipment, so walking into a gym is an intimidating first step. It doesn’t have to be that way.

I know the feeling and it’s an unfortunate fact considering the current state of our country.

78% of people who have been hospitalized for COVID are overweight or obese and a literal majority of America is overweight.

Stats like that should lead to a nationwide wake up call. People need to get off the couch and start moving!

Thankfully, you don’t have to sign up for a gym membership - unless you want to!

I’m going to show you the fundamental exercises to get you started working out at home!

Introducing: Bodyweight Basics - Fundamental Exercises & Equipment for Home Workouts

Equipment

If you’re going to be working out at home there is some equipment I recommend purchasing to maximize your workouts but it isn’t completely necessary. If you don’t want to buy a set of dip bars to do dips, I show you how to do them using furniture you probably already own.

I share all of the equipment I personally own and use in my home gym, what it can be used for, and how to use it.

Terminology

If you’re confused by fitness terminology like set, reps, and range of motion - I break it all down for you.

Bodyweight Exercises - The Why

Getting your body moving is important. It’s also important to know why you’re doing what you’re doing.

I’ll explain the fundamental human movement patterns and how each exercise addresses these basic movements.

Bodyweight Exercises - The How

Every exercise in this book is explained in detail, with photos, including variations to increase or decrease the difficulty as needed based on your personal needs.

Tips

Throughout my fitness journey I’ve made a lot of mistakes. The good news is I’ve learned from those mistakes! I share some of my top tips to save you time and get the most out of your workouts.

Continued Learning

I could have made this book 150 pages long if I really wanted to but it’s called Bodyweight Basics for a reason!

If you want to continue working out and pushing yourself I provide you with all of the details necessary to stay up-to-date on future content I’ll be releasing.
